Panasonic has made available its latest VIERA plasma TV range, the PZ850 series.
Panny's flagship line features VIERA CAST, a web-enabling device that gives users access to some of the more popular sites on the internet - you know the ones: YouTube, Google's Picasa web album and Bloomberg.
The range comes in four models - the 46in TH-46PZ850, the 50in TH-50PZ850, the 58in TH-58PZ850 and a monstrous 65in TH-65PZ850.
Alongside the online credentials, the sets all offer a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 or a native contrast ratio of 30,000:1, Full HD with 24p native reproduction, Digital Cinema Color Re-Mastering and Studio Reference Mode, a quartet of HDMI connectors, PC input and SD card slot with H.264 codec for playing back HD camcorder footage.
There is, of course, the ubiquitous VIERA Link remote control function too.
With prices ranging from $3,000 for the 46-incher to $8,000 to that behemoth 65-incher, they couldn't be called cheap, but it's the premium you pay for such new technology. No word on UK availability as yet.
