Roberts Radio Concerto

British company Roberts Radio has joined in collaboration with the British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF) to launch the Roberts Concerto, a DAB radio and CD player specifically targeting those with impaired eyesight.

The Concerto arrives replete with easy-to-read display with a zoom facility for increasing text size, a CD Bookmark feature for easy return to the correct place in an audio book, and audible tuning and beeps designed to confirm preset function and which radio station users are tuned in to.

Alongside the CD and DAB is an FM radio tuner, and owners can record radio shows direct to modern day SD card or old school cassette tapes. A very retro, if slightly confusing addition.

Replete with big high visibility yellow buttons, the Roberts Concerto can be bought direct from the BWBF for £195 or loaned on a permanent basis for those registered blind or partially sighted.
