Microsoft's iPod emulating Zune portable music player may not be available in the UK yet (latest reports claim it will arrive in 2009, though we're not holding our breath), but that hasn't stopped Gates and co from giving its latest model an English flavour.
Limited to only 500 models, the Joy Division Zune will sport Joy Div software and Peter Saville's iconic artwork from the band's debut 1979 album 'Unknown Pleasures' etched into the back. Also preloaded onto each is a copy of the 'Joy Division' documentary, the DVD release of which this limited edition Zune is celebrating.
Available on June 17, Microsoft is charging an offensive premium for its limited edition run - $400 as opposed to the usual $250 asking price. But if you're a massive Ian Curtis and co fan, the price may not be a problem. What will be a problem though is the fact that it's a US only release. Humph.
