UK distributor Henley Designs has taken in stock of Van den Hul's latest connector, the rather grandiosely titled Ultimate HDMI.
Fully compliant with all of the latest 1.3 standards, the Ultimate features the thickest conductors possible of silver-plated Oxygen Free Copper with separate insulation of all the cables, an overall double screening of aluminium foil and Ag-OFC braiding and a thick Hulliflex protective covering.
The distinctive sky blue jacket is made of a high-performance, Halogen-free material that's chemically sealed to protect the inside conductors from external influences. Ticking the green box, it's clean and green to manufacture and can be incinerated without producing toxic gases or waste once its lifespan is up.
The Ultimate is also terminated with top quality metal case connectors in which all the pins are plated with 24-carat gold.
Complying fully with 1.3b protocol standards, the Ultimate offers full 1080p performance over lengths running up to 25metres, and thanks to the HDMI repeater product it features, can run up to a huge 40 metres effectively, if you have a really, really massive house.
Available now in a range of lengths from one to 25 metres, it retails at £150 per one metre length.
