True Colours Industries (TCI) has launched a second-gen entry-level and very affordable interconnect with the Tiger II.
Targeting both home cinema and hi-fi markets, the Tiger II is made using a twisted pair of silver-plated pure OFC copper conductors, PE insulated and terminated with improved nonmagnetic gold-plated RCA phono plugs over the previous model. The upgrades promise to deliver 'good rhythm and imaging along with increased detail at a sensible price'.
The cable is sheathed in thick halogen-free 'Megalon' and is made from flame-retardant materials so it can be used for permanent installs.
One interesting and unusual option is a £10 upgrade to DIN connectors from phono in case you use a Naim system, for which DINs are standard. The upgrade is to Neutrik five-pin DIN plugs.
The phono-to-phono Tiger II retails at £30 for one metre, the phono to DIN for £40 and the Din to DIN for £50.
