IXOS STUDIO-XS218 & FIRST XS118

IXOS has launched a range of quirky HDMI problem solvers aimed at eliminating issues around annoyingly placed HDMI sockets on flatscreen TVs and poor signal issues.

First up is the XS right-angle adapter the STUDIO-XS218 with iVEC signal improvement circuitry, costing £30 and the STUDIO-XS118 adapter only, costing £15.

The XS218 uses iVEC passive circuitry that equalises the digital signal to allow a cable to transmit a 1080p signal up to an extra four metres. It also stabilises impedance at the plug to minimise crosstalk and features gold plated connectors. It can be bought in 'A' or 'B' models corresponding to the orientation of the angle.

The XS118 is simply missing the iVEC passive circuitry, and is hence half the price.
