Onkyo has unveiled a range of cinema separates that go together to create an 'affordable' home cinema system.
The HT-S5105 comprises the HT-R518 5.1-channel receiver and HTP-518 5.1 speaker system and retails for £350. Chuck in the DV-SP406 DVD player, available en seule for £100, and the system goes up to £400 representing a £50 saving.
The HT-R518 is a 5.1-channel version of Onkyo's award-winning TX-SR506 7.1-channel receiver and serves up five channels at 130W of Dolby Digital/DTS 5.1, DTS 96/24 and Dolby Pro Logic II/DTS Neo:6.
It's married here to the HTP-518 5.1-channel speaker system delivering two-way front channel and centre-channel speakers with surround speakers and a 90W sub.
The tailor-made system comes with Audyssey 2EQ for simple setup and even has colour-coded inputs so novices (and experts alike) can't go wrong.
The DV-SP406 DVD player delivers 1080p playback with upscaling, USB playback of audio, DivX and JPEG files and HDMI 1.1.
The HT-S5105 is available now for £350, or with the DV-SP406 for £400.
