Alpine has taken its first audio head unit specifically designed with the iPod in mind and redesigned it to create three new models, the iDA-X100, iDA-X200 and iDA-X300.
First in line, the Bluetooth-enabled iDA-X100 is a digital media receiver with USB port for full iPod integration as well as compatibility with a swathe of other portable audio players.
Features include tag index on USB thumb drives for speedy song access, details of which you can see on the 2.2in TFT display, which has three viewing modes, search capabilities, and clock and calendar.
One step down is the iDA-X200, which is identical to the X100 bar the inclusion of that TFT display.
Last in line is the iDA-X300, which as neither the screen nor the USB connectivity. It is also lacking the Double-Action Encoder employed by the other models.
All three models can be connected to Alpine CD/DVD multi-changers such as the DHA-S690 or CHA-S634 if you want to keep it old school with the compact disc.
All systems are available now starting at £210 for the iDA-X100 down to £110 for the iDA-X300.
