We brought you news very recently that Freesat was expanding its free-to-air digital satellite TV service with a swathe of new regional channels bumping up the count.
But while that wasn't particularly exciting in terms of content, this new announcement concerning 18 new channels is far more interesting.
Launching today, the first set of new channels consists of a range of news, entertainment, shopping and gaming programmes, with highlights including Zone Reality, Zone Horror, Inspiration, The Fight Network and, catering to the new influx of cash, Russia Today.
Launching Friday 1 August is the second set of channels, all of which are radio stations. These are set to include XFM, Capital Radio, Classic FM and the newly announced NME Radio.
These new launches keep Freesat on track to hit its 200-channel promise by the end of the year.
