We recently brought you news hot from the floor of the Philips press launch about its new range of Ambisound SoundBars and separates kit, and now details have finally been unveiled on pricing and availability.
A quick round-up then. The SoundBars include the HTS8150 and 8140 for 42in TVs and the HTS6100 for 37in TVs, while the HTS6515 is a 2.1 separates system.
The SoundBars all feature improved integrated speaker drivers and revised Digital Sound Processing software over prior models alongside an upscaling 1080p Full HD DVD player. The 8150 and 8140 also employ Faroudja DCDi image processing and touchscreen controls.
Sonically each carries dual one-inch silk dome tweeters, six 2.5in full range woofers and a 6.5in long throw driver.
USB2.0 and line-in connectors open up a wealth of multimedia options too.
The 6515 separates system is a slice of cool design and no mistake. Just 48mm high, its super sleek styling and diminutive speakers mean it's wall or table mountable.
Full HD playback and 1080p upscaling is a given, as is the USB2.0 and line-in link up.
Similar innards as the SoundBars deliver the 2.1 sonics, each speaker containing a trio of 2.5in full range integrated drivers, matched by the 6.5in long throw woofer.
The HTS8140 retails at £749, the HTS6100 at £499 and the HTS6515 at £399 and all three are available in August. The HTS8150 also retails at £749, but we'll have to wait 'til September to cast our eyes over its Aurea-matching silvery goodness.
