Panny has fired up the flagship range once more with the launch of its latest projector, the PT-AE3000.
Delivering what Panasonic calls a 'premium' home cinema experience, the PT-AE3000 uses new Frame Creation technology optimised for big screen viewing with a Lens Memory feature capable of memorising and restoring zoom and focus positions for different aspect ratios, from 16:9 to 2.35:1.
More standard specs include 1080p Full HD playback (but of course) at 100Hz with a 60,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 1,600 lumens brightness.
Features include Dynamic Iris, Smooth Screen Technology, Pure Colour Filter, Panny's Detail Clarity Processor 2 and Intelligent Power Management to keep the greenies quiet.
It will throw out a 120in image from 3.6 to seven metres, and the lens shift function means it's good for tabletop, wall or ceiling mounting.
A triumvirate of HDMI ports takes care of connectivity, able backed up by two component ins.
Available this very November, Panny is hush hush about the price, but that flagship moniker should prepare you for the worst.
