InFocus X9

InFocus has unveiled a new projector in the X9 that promises High Definition cinema in your lounge for less than £500.

The X9 only stretches to 720p rather than the Full HD 1080p signal, but does support Texas Instruments' BrilliantColor performance and HDMI 1.3 hook up.

Your £500 will get you a 2500:1 contrast ratio with video optimised brightness of 1,800 lumens and a native 16:9 widescreen image.

The short throw ratio keeps things flexible with a picture achievable from 0.69m to 9.13m from screen to projector and table or ceiling mounted rear projection options. Alongside the HDMI 1.3 sit component, S-Video, composite, VGA in/out and RS232 connectors.

The X9 will be available from end of October.
