Mordaunt Short has added two new models to its much-liked Alumni sub/satellite speaker range with the 3 LCR and 8 tower, with the intention of using them to increase the flexibility and range of a full Alumni system.
The LCR (above) has been crafted to deliver three-channel audiophile imaging from a single enclosure, so sitting horizontally can act as front left, centre and front right speaker in one.
The 8 tower (right) is said to be 'equally at home in stereo, 2.1 with an Alumni 9 subwoofer or multi-channel set-ups'.
Each speaker features a 25mm aluminium dome tweeter, 3.5in CPC (Continuous Profile Cone) mid/bass drivers, passive Acoustic Bass Radiators and audiophile componentry throughout. Both also come with dedicated stands and OmniMount fittings.
The Alumni 3 LCR is available now for £300 en seule and the Alumni 8 tower goes on sale October for £500 per pair.
