Optoma has released two new pocket-friendly projectors onto the market directly targeting the gamer in need of some huge screen action with claims of a 300in display - as long as you have a surface big enough to accommodate it of course.
The DLP format GameTime projectors both come with 2.1-channel speakers and integrated subwoofer (though to have such an image without a standalone 5.1-channel surround sound system borders on the sacrilegious).
The GT-7000 is an HD-Ready projector in piano black with 4,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,600 ANSI lumens brightness rating and matching 2.1-speaker system.
The GT-3000 is an SVGA model finished in ice white with 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 2,300 ANSI lumens brightness rating and matching white speakers, aimed to act as the 'perfect complement' to the Nintendo Wii.
Slightly bizarrely, both models come with their own backpacks for easy transport so you can take your big screen with you everywhere.
Connectivity is a boon too: the speakers compatible with everything from DVD player to iPod.
Both are on sale now, the GT-7000 retailing at £499 and the GT-3000 at £349.
