In addition to the recent release of the B-100 C series integrated amplifier, Bryston has launched the entire C series range of amplifiers.
The base model is the 2B SST. This 100 watts per channel (eight ohms) stereo amplifier incorporates all the new SST circuitry and provides twice the power of its original 2B. The 2B SST is intended for use in home sound systems requiring a musically accurate, extremely reliable power source. The 3B SST stereo amplifier, at 150 watts per channel into eight ohms and 250 watts at four ohms, provides another compact and powerful package. The 3B SST is suitable for a wide range of AV systems where sonic accuracy, medium power and long-term reliability is required. The 2B SST retails at £1,950 and the 3B SST costs £2,200.
Bryston's most popular model, the 4B SST, is suitable for a range of uses including recording studio stage, a broadcast facility, a home theatre installation, or a high-end stereo system. The 4B SST is a pure dual mono design and offers 300 watts per channel into eight ohms and 500 watts into four ohms with over 1,000 watts available in bridged mode. The 4B SST has a recommended retail price of £2,750.

The Bryston
6B SST is a £4,500 single chassis power amplifier consisting of three totally independent amplifier modules, each with its own power transformer and power supply. The chassis simply provides Soft-Start AC to each channel, and a separate power LED illuminates on the front panel indicating individual channel power status. The Byston 6B SST provides 3x300 watts per channel at eight ohms or 3x500 watts per channel at four ohms.
The 7B SST is a monoblock design capable of over 600 watts at eight ohms and over 900 watts at four ohms. One advantage of the mono design 7B SST is it allows you to place the amplifier adjacent to the loudspeaker providing improved performance. The 7B SST is available in either a series or parallel version. Series is recommended with loudspeaker loads above three ohms and parallel for loudspeaker loads below three ohms. The 7B SST is priced at £3,000.

The Bryston
9B SST is a hand-crafted, modular, single-chassis five-channel power amplifier delivering 120 watts per channel at eight ohms, and 200 watts at four ohms. Each modular channel contains all the electronic circuitry connections and independent power supply. The chassis simply supplies AC and five power LEDs on the front panel indicating each channel's functional status. The 9B SST is available now for £4,600.
The Bryston 14B SST is a balanced output amplifier which reduces THD and IMD to low values for a new degree of transparency, musicality and ease of listening. Large power reserves give the 14B SST virtually perfect freedom from overload on any type of speaker or music. The 14B SST costs a hefty £5,850.

Bryston's
BP26 series preamplifiers have been desgined to match to this new SST series of amplifiers. There are four models in all, the BP26 line level preamplifier with remote control, the BP26P line level preamplifier with mm phono stage and remote control, the BP26MC line level preamplifier with mc, mm phono stage and remote control and the BP26DA line level preamplifier with two DAC inputs and remote control.
For each BP26 model, all aspects of the signal flow are greatly improved, with lower noise and distortion figures, and higher overload levels. The noise floor has been significantly improved, reducing background hash to far below audibility. Input to input crosstalk is essentially nonexistant to eliminate signal bleed-through from one source to another. Components plug directly into glass-epoxy circuit boards, eliminating variations in signal travel and wire interaction.

Signal switching and audio connections utilize heavy gold plating to provide long-term trouble-free connections. Gold-plated balanced and unbalanced input and output connectors are standard. A 12-volt AC/DC screw terminal connector on the rear of the power supply provides for a convenient remote start feature available on all Bryston amplifiers.
All BP26 series preamplifiers are housed in steel cabinets for shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference effects. Buffered inputs provide for lower distortion and improved linearity from source components. A ground plane has been incorporated in this new design to further reduce crosstalk and noise throughout the internal circuitry. The power transformer is mounted externally to eliminate power supply noise interference. Prices vary from £2,600 for the BP26 to £3,600 for the BP26DA.
To accompany the BP26 models is the MPS2 external power supply. It features ultra low noise transformers to help eliminate power supply noise interference, plus four power outlets for future planned Bryston products.
