Cambridge Audio has previewed the version 2 model of the Azur 640R AV receiver at CES, featuring full HDMI 1.3b reception.

The V2 can transcode analogue video to HDMI via a single cable and CA's CAMCAS quick installation feature.

Key features include a true power output of 7x100W RMS per channel at 8ohms, stereo direct mode for audiophile stereo sources outputting 2x1200W, adjustable lip sync delay feature, optional bi-amping, multi-room compatibility, a trio of HDMI 1.3b inputs, RS232 port, IR emitter in and Control Bus in/out.

Available in silver or black, the Azur 640R V2 AV goes on sale in the spring with a US market price of $1,800 and no UK price yet.
