Harman Kardon has unveiled two new AV products in the run up to the Bristol Sound & Vision show. Claiming both products set a 'new standard' in home entertainment, first up is the company's most powerful integrated amplifier yet, the HK990, and second is its next-gen CD player, the HD990.
The HK990 offers EzSet/EQ room optimisation which promises 'extraordinary realism' while simultaneously simplifying installation, and Real Time Linear Smoothing for an enhanced sound experience. Discrete optical and digital inputs take care of connectivity options.
The HD990 CD player is optimised with an array of advanced technologies to give plenty of detail and precision to the sound while a built-in digital processor minimises distortion and, as with the amp above, Real Time Linear Smoothing helps cancel CD jitter.
'Whether it's for the discerning music enthusiast or casual listener, the feature-rich HK990 and HD990 offer digital excellence at a great value price', commented Mark Hockey, marketing manager, Harman Consumer UK.
'Complementing their best-in-class listening performance and ease of use, both products have an elegant, minimalist design, which work well as either a feature of the living-room, or something a little more subtle'.
Both models are on sale now, the HK990 retailing at £1,000 and the HD990 at £500, which Harman Kardon happily calls 'great value' prices.
