Philips has demo'd its latest MP3 player as part of its GoGear range. The Spark is described as 'compact in size but big on style and sound'.
Unmistakably Philips in design (smooth and inoffensive), it measures a mere 41x41x15mm and in those dimensions houses a one-and-a-half inch 128x128 pixel OLED screen that's colourful and punchy enough to show album art, text and photos, though they are all pretty titchy.
Sonics are taken care of by Philips' Fullsound tech with incorporated eqauliser.
Other features include drag 'n drop function via USB, built-in mic, claimed 27-hour battery life and compatibility with MP3, WMA and JPEG files.
Available in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB versions for £40, £50 or £60 respectively, you can have the 2GB and 4GB models with an FM tuner onboard for an extra £15 on each.
All go on sale this month, except the 8GB version, which will turn up late to the party in May.
