Brit radio manufacturer PURE has launched what it calls the world's first 'Works with iPhone' DAB micro hi-fi system.
Describing it as a fully featured DAB/FM digital sound system, it serves up CD playback, USB port, SD card slot and dedicated iPod dock.
Alongside this it is part of Apple's 'Made for iPod' and 'Works with iPhone' programmes, so has been tailor made with Apple's music box marvel in mind and is 'certified to meet Apple performance standards'.
The iPod dock comes in black and silver to match the system and charges the player/phone when docked. It uses an integrated remote control which can be used to choose tracks whose names are shown on the system's LCD display.
The system plays MP3 and WMA files from USB, SD card and CD. It throws out 25W RMS of 'class leading' audio through speakers that sport four-inch mid-bass drivers, 1.5in tweeters and custom tuned crossovers.
There's also the usual sleep timer and alarm, headphone input and aux-in for hooking up other MP3 players.
It is of course also part of PURE's EcoPlus range, making it greener than Baron von Greenback on a day fuelled with envy.
On sale from early June, the Sirocco 150 will set you back £150.
