The Beeb has unveiled its summer broadcasting line-up with serious attention to the High Definition side of things in what it says is a summer 'packed with sport and music'.
Kicking off with last week's Wimbledon preamble, the Aegon Tennis tournament at Queen's, it runs right through to the World Athletics Championship in August.
Along the way it will include full Wimbledon coverage from 22 June to 5 July, the BBC Proms from 17 July to 12 September, Glastonbury music festival 26 to 28 June, and the World Championship athletics from 15 to 28 August.
'Sport and music lend themselves perfectly to HS viewing', noted Danielle Nagler, head of BBC HD. 'It really brings these kinds of events to life and so this summer will be a treat for BBC HD viewers'.
Non sport and music HD highlights will include shows 'That Mitchell and Webb Look', 'Psychoville', new drama 'Hope Springs' and documentary 'Henry VIII - Patron Or Plunderer?'
