PURE has unveiled the Élan II, a 'great sounding' portable stereo DAB radio bursting with the latest DAB tech wizardry.
The Élan II may not be the most alluring radio on the market, but it makes up for middling looks with functionality.
Primary features include DAB+ playback with ReVu tech that allows the user to pause and rewind live digital broadcasts, Intellitext and textSCAN for control over scrolling text delivering information on the programme playing. Certain broadcasts can also be stored, such as traffic reports and sports results.
Elsewhere there's an aux input for hooking up MP3 players, alarm and kitchen timer, 30 DAB and FM presets and digital amplifiers with custom-wound three-inch speakers.
It can run on mains power or using the ChargePAK rechargeable battery for around 35 hours of play from one charge.
Part of PURE's EcoPlus range for its commitment to keeping things green, the Élan II will be on sale in time for Christmas for £100.
