BenQ G Series

By Duncan Madden

BenQ G Series

BenQ has added two new models to its G Series TV range with the 19in G920WL and the 18.5in G922HDL.

The latter is apparently the world's first LED display in the 18.5in W segment.

BenQ is promising 'compelling price points, solid performance, economical screen sizes and… the lowest power consumption in their respective size categories' and also notes their mercury-free energy-efficient engineering.

Both sets offer zero light leakage for an ultra high dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 meaning intense blacks, whites and a full colour gamut that should suit all kinds of content above and beyond TV watching.

Picture enhancement comes in the form of BenQ's Senseye 3 Human Vision Technology that offers preset modes calibrated to settings like Eco, Movie, Game, Photo, Standard and sRGB.

The G Series also 'increases office productivity' with simultaneous viewing of multiple applications on the widescreen displays, with the G920WL a 16:10 aspect 1440x1900 WXGA+ resolution screen and the G922HDL a 16:9 aspect 1366x768 WXGA display.

The former is on sale this month for £99 and the latter for £95. Bargaintastic.
