Fatman Wi-tube

Tube-based iPod dock specialist Fatman has added a wireless element to its range with the Wi-tube.

The new device links wirelessly to a bundled FatDock and can deliver 28 watts per channel to a pair of speakers (not included). While it's doing so, the FatDock will charge an iPod while it plays and there's a USB link to a computer for syncing with iTunes.

Around the back is a 3.5mm mini jack which allows it to be used with just about any MP3 player as well as iPod, iPhone and mobile phones, and there are stereo line inputs too.

James Roth of Fatman said, “Technology speeds on, and so does Fatman. Hence our new arrival embraces advancements such as wireless connectivity. But some old tech is yet to be beaten, which is why we continue to employ, and refine, truly gorgeous sounding valve-based amplification.”

The Fatman Wi-tube goes on sale in April for £399.
