High-end hi-fi brand Bang & Olufsen has revealed a distinctive new compact subwoofer in the shape of the BeoLab 11.
The split tulip design stands 31cm tall and weighs a little over 7kg, making it ideal for even fairly small rooms. The stylish look means it's something you'll probably want to put on display rather than tuck out of the way and B&O claims it will deliver the low-end goods whether you put it on the floor, in a corner, or even on the wall (it comes with a dedicated bracket).
The twin 6.5in speakers face each other a couple of inches apart and are encased in outer shells made of aluminium. It's fully active with 200 watts of power and is apparently the first B&O sub to make use of the company's acoustic balance principle for reducing external vibrations.
The Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 11 is available now in a range of colours including black, white, blue, red, gold and silver for £1,550.
