Samsung UE40C7000 has arrived

By AVR

Samsung is first past the post in the 3D race as the Samsung UE40C7000 became the first 3D TV on sale in the UK.

The 40in TV is available in John Lewis for £1,800 from 22nd April.

The TV is available separately or as part of a bundle with Samsung's BDC6900 3D Blu-ray player for £349, and a special '3D Starter Kit' which includes two pairs of Samsung active-shutter 3D glasses and a Monsters Vs Aliens 3D Blu-ray disc. The starter kit comes free if you buy TV and player together, or £149 separately. There's also a 3D-Ready, HDMI 1.4 cable available for £50. Each of the offers is available until the end of June.

John Kempner, John Lewis's buyer for vision, said: “3D TV is an incredibly exciting technology, and once again John Lewis is first to market. Manufacturers like to use us as their launch partner because our customers are always early adopters of new technology.”
