Image Audio is the name of a new British speaker firm which has unveiled its line-up of slim, disguised on-wall speakers.
Based in Hertfordshire, the firm specialises in discreet full-range speakers that are designed to be wall-mounted and hidden behind picture frames. The company offers a wide range of colour and black and white images for the frames which are included in the price.
Each of the wall-mounted speakers uses flattened Neodymium magnets with its full-size bass/mid drivers to help reduce their depth to around the 10cm mark. By not compromising on the size of speaker however, the company claims the speakers can still deliver full-range sound.
The IA8 is the largest in the range measuring 622x520x110mm and offering a wide dynamic range of 43Hz-25kHz with 89dB sensitivity and power handling of 150W RMS. The smaller (and slightly thinner) IA5 measures 494x394x102mm and there's also an IAC centre channel which is 212x1042x110mm with 300W RMS.
