Boston Acoustics hopes to bring its hi-fi expertise to the small stage with the announcement of the MicroSystem CD.
It's an all-in-one package designed as a bedside alarm clock, a room-filling stereo, or even as a stereo sound source for your TV. Dual speakers with proprietary BassTrac circuitry provide the power for the CD player (compatible with CD, MP3, WMA and CD-R discs) or the FM/AM digital tuner. Furthermore, the MicroSystem is fitted with front inputs for an external portable device (such as an iPod).
The MicroSystem also comes with a magnetic, credit-card sized remote that can be stored neatly inside the unit behind the front panel (which will hopefully prevent it from joining the others down the back of the sofa).
