 COMPETITIONS 18 / 09 / 05

Win a Crystal Audio surround system!

It took blood, sweat and tears but we finally decided on what was the funniest caption. The winner's entry was punchy, unique and genuinely amusing. There were a number of great entries and it was difficult to choose a winner, but choose a winner we did. So congratulations to Chris Bryan, you've won a Crystal Audio surround system!

Here's a reminder of his entry:

"No matter how rigorously David searched he still couldn't find the source of the sound..."

Thanks to everybody else who entered, better luck next time. Watch this space for a new competition very soon.

  • The extremely elegant £800 SmArt 4 surround system comprises four discreet, slimline, multi-array tower loudspeakers, a dedicated centre channel and a THX Select certified subwoofer. The system also embraces real wood veneer and interchangeable high quality lacquer side panels available in minimalist silver, deep dark cherry, rich maple, vibrant red or original timeless black. If you win, you can choose whichever colour you want!

But here beauty is more than skin deep. The four main tower speakers incorporate four 7.5cm mid/bass drivers featuring large and powerful magnets for high efficiency. The result is fast transients as well as accurate and distortion free sound, ideal for home cinema in other words.

The dimensions of the SmArt 4 tower speakers can be kept to a minimum thanks to a THX Select subwoofer that has an extremely flat frequency response up to 200Hz. The 25cm driver, powered by a 150-watt amplifier, faces the floor to deliver a wide, even dispersion throughout the room. The subwoofer also takes in a glass top, giving a highly luxurious finish.

For the chance to win this fantastic speaker system we thought we'd ask something a little different from you. Yup, that's right - it's a caption competition. Just ponder upon the absurdity of this humungous in-car sound system for a moment, concoct something suitably witty to say about it, and then post your caption. The caption that gives us the most laughs will win.
