Onkyo home cinema furniture

It might not get style dandy Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's seal of approval, but this unusual TV stand built by Japanese speaker manufacturer Onkyo for its home market is actually part of a 5.1 system, with the three front channels built into it.

The left, right and centre channels are all built in to the stand beneath the telly leaving the sub - the rear channels are of course separate. It's not clear whether the apparently close spacing of the speakers will permit enough separation of sound to give a good surround experience, though it would certainly save on space.
