The iTunes music application is widely considered to be one of the best music management software tools on the market, one of the few that can make managing digital music collections both straightforward and effective. This often left those who chose not to buy Apple's little white box frustrated with their respective brands' often clunky and confusing software packages. One such example is the SonicStage platform from Sony, which has attracted widespread criticism and is something our members have complained about on more than one occasion in our forums.
A new piece of third party software available to download free, allows iTunes collections to be synchronised with any mass storage device. Called iWalkman (naturally) the program was designed specifically with the Walkman phone (Sony Ericsson W800) and the PSP in mind, but as mentioned will work on any mass storage device. It will allow effortless synchronisation with any music or videos stored in an iTunes collection. We think this will be a massive relief to a lot of you so if you download iWalkman let us know how you get on with it and whether you'd recommend it. We'll be checking it out ourselves but probably not until the end of the week, so stay tuned for our impressions.
