Denon AVR-3806

Denon have upgraded their best selling AVR-3805 amplifier with the release of the AVR-3806. The new model shares much of its design with the XV series and in essence is a scaled back version of that range but still promises to deliver great performance, albeit at a more affordable price. Featuring Audyssey MultEQ XT technology, the amplifier can create high standard seats for up to six listeners. There are seven power amplifiers and multiple channel output with independent audio and video processing capabilities on board. These allow a 3-room multi source/multi-zone home entertainment from the one component.

To summarize the improvements over the AVR-3805, the AVR-3806 has analogue video conversion to HDMI output, 1080p HDMI switching, HDMI repeater, Audyssey MultEQ XT room correction, 3 user mode presets and variable gain volume control from -80dB to +18dB. Utilizing a DL3 (Denon Link 3 cable), which Denon claim is actually better than HDMI or firewire, high resolution signals can be received at maximum quality. The 3806 boasts some hefty out put with 7 x120 watts of full bandwidth power and 7 x 160 watts into 6 ohms, 1khz, 0.7% distortion/DIN.
