Nordost Heimdall cables

Continuing the expansion of the range of its proprietary 'Micro Mono-Filament' technology cables, Nordost has announced the launch of the new Heimdall series.

The Heimdall interconnect uses four “Micro Mono-Filament” silver plated oxygen free copper conductors, each helically wrapped in an FEP “Micro Mono Filament” thread and extruded within an FEP tube This design is to result in signals being transferred more efficiently. The cable is terminated with high quality WBT NextGen gold plated copper connectors, which provide the perfect low mass connection between the cables and the equipment.

To allow complete cable synergy from phono cartridge to loudspeaker Heimdall is also available as a tone arm cable. The Heimdall tone arm cable is dual shielded with dedicated drain wires for grounding and uses four conductors with Nordost's Mono-Filament technology. The cable is terminated a high-grade 90 degree mini din tone arm connector and Neutrik professional grade RCA or XLR connectors.

Lastly, there's the Heimdall loudspeaker cable, consisting of 24 OFC conductors with an extruded silver surface. The Heimdall is the lowest cost loudspeaker cable to use Nordost's state of the art Micro Mono Filament technology, which reduces insulation contact by more than 80%.

Prices for the Heimdall interconnect cable range from £330 for a 0.6 metre pair to £370 for a one metre pair. The Heimdall tone arm cable is available in two different models, the 1.25m RCA terminated cable costs £250 and the 1.25m XLR terminated version is £280. The Heimdall loudspeaker cable is available in a variety of lengths and termination fittings, with prices starting at a massive £955 for a two metre terminated pair.
