Cable specialist Nordost already has over forty different high performance cable products on the market, but of course there's always room for more, so it's devised a new range of Frey 'Micro Mono-Filament' cables, comprising an audio interconnect, tone arm and loudspeaker cable.
The Frey interconnect uses six conductors, each made of solid oxygen free copper with an extruded and highly polished silver surface. Each of these is then helically wrapped in an FEP “Micro Mono Filament” thread and has an FEP tube extruded around it for the aim of reducing insulation contact and providing extreme mechanical stability. The cable is terminated with high quality WBT NextGen gold plated copper connectors, and is also available with balanced XLR as well as 5 pin DIN terminations.
The Frey tone arm cable is dual shielded with dedicated drain wires for grounding and uses six Nordost Mono-Filament conductors. The cable is terminated a high-grade 90 degree mini din tone arm connector and either Neutrik professional grade RCA or XLR connectors.
Lastly, the Frey loudspeaker cable consists of 28 solid OFC conductors with an extruded and highly polished silver surface. Its Micro Mono Filament technology is said to reduce insulation contact allowing information to travel along the surface of the conductor virtually unimpeded by the insulation material.
