We first came across Beamax's Artsound screen at last month's Bristol Sound & Vision show, where we marvelled at its sheer technical wizardry. We've now received some more info to shed light on just how it works.
The unit consists of an acoustically transparent screen, available in 16:9 formats of 55in up to and including a gigantic 95in. The screen is then in-printed with a photo of your choice or with a picture from a catalogue of original artworks.
To get things going you simply need to press on the button of the wireless remote control and the unprinted acoustically transparent screen rolls forwards, ready for projection! To accompany the picture, there's left-centre-right speakers which are cunningly mounted behind the screen.
The Artsoundscreen is available now with prices ranging from roughly £3,000 up to £5,500 depending on the size of screen.
