Sony's flash new Walkmans

Sony E000 Walkman range

Sony has announced the latest addition to the Walkman family with the E000 range of digital music players.

Boasting a design not that dissimilar from Sony's previous NW flash models, the memory sticks can store up to 90 CDs (2GB) with around 28 hours playback time from a single charge. And just like its Walkman Bean range, all feature a built in USB connector for directly hooking up to a PC cable-free, as well as boasting a quick charge function that generates three hours playback from just three minutes juicing.

The E000 range will play MP3, Sony's ATRAC3 and at long last, WMA files. They'll be available from the end of this month in 512Mb, 1Gb and 2Gb capacities in a choice of colours; pink, violet, black, blue, silver and lime green.

More info on Sony can be found here.

Flash-based MP3 players are often seen as the runt of the MP3 walkman litter, but they've got clear advantages over their larger, more illustrious hard disk compatriots; firstly they won't put such an unholy dent in your wallet and...
