HDMI may well be driving the current Hi-Def revolution, but it does have one major drawback - over long distances distributing an HDMI signal can prove extremely expensive. Enter Armour Home Electronics, who has announced it's releasing the Intelix HDMI balun distributor in the UK.
The Intelix HDMI balun is capable of distributing an HDMI signal up to 45 metres using two structured, twisted pair cables, such as Cat 5. The Intelix HDMI balun supports 1080P HDTV resolution and is HDCP compliant. The kit contains a send unit, receive unit, HDMI patch cord, and power supply.
The Intelix HDMI balun package is available now, for around £600.
