Last time we heard from manufacturer Artcoustic it was busy showing off its innovative art covered speakers, however this time round it's taken a more traditional route with the announcement of the Spitfire monitor range.

The Spitfire range comprises a professional grade monitor employing a twin 10in X2 woofers which take low frequency response down to 35Hz, along with twin rippled dome tweeters that extend the high frequency response up to 40kHz at 96dB (1w +/-2dB). The Spitfire Monitor is bi-wirable, enabling control of the woofers and tweeters independently and comes as a mirrored pair for accurate stereo monitoring. The Spitfire subwoofer boasts no less than four 10in X2 long-throw woofers with high power handling and right down to 15Hz. The Spitfire sub also comes with an Artcoustic PA-300: a 300watt amplifier.

We're expecting to see the Spitfire range in the shops sometime this month, although there's no word on pricing as of yet.
