Aesthetix Calypso line stage

Aesthetix Calypso line stage

Aesthetix has just unveiled the Calypso, a 6 input (5, plus tape monitor) all valve high gain line stage.

The Calypso features fully balanced inputs (which include both XLR and RCAs), two pairs of Neutrik XLR and gold plated RCA outputs and discrete resistor volume control.

There's front panel controls for input selection, volume adjustment, mute, absolute phase, display brightness, bypass selection and standby. All functions can also be operated by the included remote, which can also operate the other preamplifiers in the Saturn Series, the Rhea and Janus. There's also a bypass function which can be assigned to one or more of the 6 inputs.

Out now, expect to pay around £3,600 for the Calypso.
