Promising big hitting AV power from one compact bite-sized unit, TEAC has unveiled the DR-H300DAB DVD Receiver, its latest addition to the award winning Reference Series.

The DR-H300DAB features an upscaling DVD player with an HDMI output that upscales to 1920 x 1080i or 1280 x 720p. It also plays back different formats of CD, as well as MP3 files via a USB. In addition there's a DAB (Band-lll) digital radio and an FM RDS tuner (with presets for both).

There's also a full function remote, multi language on-screen display, plus a digital clock with sleep timer. As well as HDMI, there's gargantuan amount of connections including component video out, s-video out, composite video out, Scart socket, analogue audio: in x2, digital audio: out x2, subwoofer out: x1, USB port and one pair of speaker terminals.

Available now, the DR-H300DAB comes in either silver or black and is expected to sell for just £330.

Does anyone know as to why the front panel controls/specs differ between the black and silver units as pictured?

I admit to being interested in usb connectivity but does anybody have any experience of the unit(s) that they would care to share. Thanks .
