'THE REVIEWS PRAISING THE PANASONIC S PICTURE WERE RIGHT!'
Strengths:
Superb hi def pictures on my 1080p LCD.
DVD up-scaling to 1080p is impressive.
Remote is easy to navigate and use.
Simple set up.
Weaknesses:
To say that the start up is a bit slow would be picky.
In 24 fps mode while watching my Blu Ray "Order Of The Phoenix". The picture was jumping until I realised that 24fps into 100htz does not quite go! More of a statement on my maths and understanding of the systems than my first percieved failings of the Panasonic,(easily resolved).
I have a 52" Samsung Series 6 and it took some juggling to get the screen filled. I can't see the point of having a 52" screen and only 46" displayed. Again, easily resolved.
Overall:
Overall - this is in my humble opinion, one of the best home cinema purchases I have ever made. At the moment I only have 5 x Blu Ray discs. I have however, quite a few DVDs. Even older sourced material such as "Jaws" and "Magnum Force" look superb.

'GO BUY ONE!'
Strengths:
Upscaling of DVD's is great. My plasma is only 1080i & this can be set to output Blueray at 1080i & upscale to 1080i. Still great picture.
1080i JPEG showing from SD card - enabling high quality slideshows of photos straight from the DSLR.
DivX picture is good.
Weaknesses:
No SACD nor Dolby Digital Audio Disk playback.
Seems slightly slow to respond compared to DVD - but guess that is down to increased bytes on Blueray Disks.
Overall:
Don't wait - go buy one - especially if you have a full 1080p24 HDTV.
