'EXCELLENT AMP WITH ALL TYPES OF MUSIC ON ANY INPUT SOURCE'
Strengths:
Solid build, jaw-dropping sound quality that makes you smile every time. Well laid out rear panel, easy to connect, including biwiring a single pair of speakers using banana plugs.
I use it with a Kandy CD player, Denon DAB tuner, Project turntable and Yamaha tape desk. Whatever the source, it sounds good and clean. Can cope with anything from loud choral and rock to gentle folk to classical chamber music or full orchestra. Bass notes are notes, not just boom. Turn up the volume and it just gets louder, with no grimace-inducing distortion. Separation is better than I've known before, and throughout the sonic range it just picks out the detail and sends it to the speakers.
No unnecessary switches and buttons, just the ones you need to listen to your chosen source. Good remote too.
Weaknesses:
None that I've found. Even the rear connectors are clearly labelled both ways up, ideal for someone like me with middle-aged eyesight.
Sadly I now notice very easily the difference in the recorded quality of CDs, but that hardly the amp's fault.
Overall:
An excellent amp, that has exceeded all my expectations. Its replacement is supposed to be even better, but if you have the opportunity to buy one of these, don't worry, you'll not be losing out, it's a sonic marvel.
I only went in the shop to get some banana plugs, but came out with the amp and CD player as well, at a price I couldn't ignore. I got the pair for little over the cost of one on its own (they were 6 months old), both in mint condition.
My wife claims not to hear some of the differences that I do, but she too has noticed more details in music that she is familiar with, and now hears bits she'd never heard before.

'SOLID BUILD / SOLID SOUND'
Strengths:
Weight of sound, impressive and realistic soundstage, plenty of power to play with, good range of inputs including phono, solid build.
Weaknesses:
Hard to think of anything very obvious here but there must be something ummmmm! Ahhh, for those who want to biwire there is only one set of speaker connects!
Overall:
In its class the KANDY is an excellent amp, solid casework, flexible as far as inputs are concerned, and a very convincing sound. I compared the KANDY with the Cyrus before purchase and credit to the Cyrus for the detail it produced but the KANDY possessed greater weight of sound and more realistic soundstage. I listen to a wide range of music and the KANDY presents all types in a most convincing fashion.

I'm tempted by the biamp option with the new L3 poweramp following some very useful advice and info from PLUTO on the forum.

'THE ROKSAN DESERVES RESPECT!! '
Strengths:
Beautifully built, great precision and timing. This is probably the best upgrade I have made to me system- it replaced my old Harman/Kardon amp and WOW! my music was brought to life which is what I have been striving to achieve since I was 15...im now 32!
Weaknesses:
you will cry when you hear your music and people might think your a girl!
Overall:
...im speechless. One thing I can recommend is the Brilliance synergy 0.5 interconnect. Its a match made in heaven!!! im off to listen to some more :-)

'WORTH THE MONEY, UPGRADEABLE,REFINED'
Strengths:
Detail, power, build quality, attention to detail, upgradeable you can add poweramp to it, the amp makes you listen to music more and reveal individual bits of music you never heard b4
Weaknesses:
the mode button on the amp should be labeled power/ standby
Overall:
this amp replaced my marantz pm66se which died on me, after reading a lot of reviews, i wanted a amp which can be upgradeable, compared to the marantz, this amp captivated me the way it presented music, roksan clearly paid a lot of attention to component quality and this paid off, in attention to detail the cyrus will beat it but the cyrus is noted for its lean sound where as this one has a muscular sound giving it a balance picture of the music its playing, well worth it i give it 5 stars

'THE BEST AMPLIFIER YOU CAN GET!'
Strengths:
120 watts per channel power output produces quality sound that will make you lose yourself in any kind of music you will be listening to.
Weaknesses:
Definately no weaknesses with this kind of amplifier. If you dont believe me try it yourself.
Overall:
This has to be by far the best amplifier ever made because when speakers are connected on to it, trust me it amplifies the sound to the extent that you will be greatful you bought it.
In addition, its value for money as well that is to say money well spent on an amplifier that you will definately like.
TRUST ME!

'NOT THE BEST AMP YOU CAN GET BUT VERY GOOD!'
Strengths:
High output and sound qulity for the money.
Weaknesses:
Seems to have its own "sound" which sometimes leads to a false representation of the source.
Overall:
This can power most speakers with ease and is fairly agile with it. It does seem to add its own flavor to recordings but then most amps at this price do anyway. I paid £500, the way the price keeps rising seems a bit odd. Also I have had 3 different models, all were unbalenced at low volumes. One final point, dont bother with the matching power amp for bi-amping. It induces a strange crackle on certain frequencys which is very strange!
