Overall: The instance you turn it on, you can hear this radio is head and shoulders above the usual dross! Don't let the fact that it only has one speaker put you off; this radio can fill a room with detailed, textured sound. And if you plug in some quality headphones, it gets better still. I tuned in to a recording of Ravel's Bolero on Classic FM, a piece I've always hated, and was absolutely transfixed! I can't recommed this radio high enough. I now spend evenings shuttling back and forth across the dial, hearing a far greater variety of music than ever before. Can there be a greater recommendation?
Strengths: By far the best sounding portable radio I have ever owned, it never seems to get in the way of enjoying the music! It's size truly belies the quality
Weaknesses: Textured finish has a tendancy to wear at the edges and peel off! Also by my PAL's need their batterries replacing after 18months
Overall: A very simple to operate radio (even with arthritic hands), with excellant reception and wonderful sound quality.
