'THE BEST SO FAR'
Strengths:
Good Picture.
You can get it to talk to a Philips DVD recorder.
Very Fast.
Compact.
Good for weak signals.
Weaknesses:
No Top Up TV.
No Coax digital.
My older B&O television was not supported by the handset.
Overall:
I've now tried a number of these boxes and so far this is the best. It's fast and the picture is clear. Certainly in a different class from the early Ondigital boxes.

One of the most useful things is 'Smartlink'. This is the same system as Philips call 'Easylink' and it means that you can set the recorder through the digital box.

It is much faster than the Philips and less fussy than most with regards to signal sensitivity. I got a signal with a powered 'One For All' set top aerial in a ground floor flat.

Unlike many the handset is a good one. It's programmable so you can get it to control your TV. Remember that if the codes for your make of V mentioned in the manual don't work, try the codes for other makes and that will often work. My Matsui portable worked with Aiwa codes.

Only the lack of Top Up slot keeps it from being a straight 5*.
