Strengths: Very detailed sound. Makes guitars, cymbals and snare drums sound great.
Weaknesses: Not a very wide or deep soundstage. Lacks warmth. Not so good with voices. I got the impression that the obvious parts of the music were being brought forward while the subtle details in the background were being hidden.
Overall: Good with jazz and other small scale music.
Strengths: Neutrality Really easy to make yourself
Weaknesses: No shielding.
Overall: Buy the speaker cable at £7 per metre and solder some plugs yourself. Ideally use WBT Nextgen to do this as they are easier to fit and sound better.
The sound overall is neutral with a good top. If you need shielding, if you have a valve amplifier for instance, use something else such as Van Den Hul D102 Mk 111.

Strengths: Sound has really opened up & is significantly cleaner. Lots of 'space' between instruments & able to follow individual instruments much better
Weaknesses: None at the price
Overall: Excellent value, there has been big improvement in the sound quality of my system since changing over from Chord Cobra 3
