Strengths: COLOUR GOOD, DEFINITION OF PICTURE. QUALITY BUILD OF CABLE.
Weaknesses: NONE
Overall: GIVES A PERFORMANCE SIMILAR TO HDMI. I WAS EXPECTING A LITTLE MORE IN TERMS OF PERFORMANCE (BUT THIS MAY BE BECAUSE OF MY LACK OF EXPERIENCE WITH THIS TYPE OF CABLE)
Overall: I think i'd be hard pushed to see the difference between this and my > £60 supra component cable. Admitedly I use it for my ps2 and xbox 360 and not my dvd, but thats why i didn't buy another supra. Never the less the image is crystal clear with beautiful, vibrant colours. The build is typical QED high quality.
I would personally say if the source your connecting it to costs less than £500 then get this cable. Over, consider a slightly better one, but you still may struggle to see the difference.
For reference i am connecting this from a Panasonic PWD5 to an Arcam AVR300 which then switches between the xbox (official cable) and ps2 (ixos component). The dvd is a denon 2900. Hope this helps.
Overall: I originally bought this cable to upgrade my DVD from RGB scart but, before doing so I tried it with my HDD and found a vast improvement over the fully wired scart.
However, what impressed me the most was the difference in quality, colour, definition and, reduced motion blur of broadcasts from the HDD's built-in digital tuner to that of the digital tuner in my LCD TV
Strengths: Depth of colour and cleanliness of signal when used with DVD to LCD TV
Weaknesses: None so far (two months use)
Overall: Had just purchased 42"LCD TV (Toshiba)and was using the previous(expensive and well known popular make)scart cable from my Loewe TV/Sony AV setup.Am using the component cable to connect from my Panasonic DVD straight into the new TV.THe wishy washy picture has now been replaced by a cleaner deeper colour balance (LOTR SP Edition Ret. Of The King is an outstanding example of the difference this cable has made)
Strengths: Strong, sturdy cable, picture quality is amazing. Lenght of cable was just right for my setup. Asthetically pleasing cable too
Weaknesses: Connectors are a bit long, becasue of where they are plugged into my AMP they happen to be in same place a the stand supports so they get in the way thus i am unable to centre the AMP
Strengths: Build quality is excellent, clear picture but not fully tested out
Weaknesses: None for that money
Overall: Didn't have a progressive scan DVD player so hard to really tell but I was pleased with the picture. Until, that is, I bought the DVD 1920 HDMI which is magnificent! Not fair comparison as didn't see progressive scan pictures through the cable but would recommend this as a great value cable.
Overall: Excellent build quality, slightly pricey but well worth it in my opinion. If you are using scart for your DVD, switch to this cable, turn on Progressive Scan and be amazed !
