Description: This product provides a wired solution for routing IR commands from different locations within the a home, back to a central point where the equipment to be controlled is located. This will permit such equipment as a VCR, satellite receiver and hi-fi etc. to be controlled from various locations. The system works by having a WM22 eye in each remote location to receive the codes sent from any remote handsets. The received codes are then sent via a cable to the Roomlink driver unit which retransmits the codes via small stick on LEDs to the equipment to be controlled.
Pack consists of: 1 x Roomlink Driver,
2 x Standards transmitters, 1 x Window emitter, 1 x 12 volt power supply (UK only),
1 x WM22 Roomlink eye
NOTE: A very small number of manufacturers codes will not pass through the IR link. Always test the operation before laying cables etc.

Strengths: The unit transmits some IR signals just as it says. I bought it as an experiment and it worked to some extent.
Weaknesses: I was very disappointed that the unit would not transmit the IR codes for a Quad 66/606 system. This is probably not the fault of QED, but it left me with a unit which would not remotely control my hi-fi. Neither QED nor hificables not Quad were any help in resolving the problem.
Overall: Disappointing for me. May work for other users.
