'WELL WORTH THE MONEY'
Strengths:
improved both the picture and audio performance of my Cambridge Audio Azur 540D dvd player
Weaknesses:
none found
Overall:
I have been delighted with the added clarity and detail to the pictures. Audio has improved, particularly in the bass which has more depth and clarity. Music dvds are an even greater pleasure to listen to. Guitar notes particularly have more "shape" to them.

'GOOD ... IN THE RIGHT SYSTEM'
Strengths:
Good build quality. Relatively good price. Figure8 option very useful.
Weaknesses:
Depending on the components its plugged into can make 0 difference to the sound.
Overall:
Overall this is a good cable but its best to try it with your chosen components first. When used with Meridian CD players it, to my ears at least, made no discernable difference. It helped to slightly open up the sound when placed on an Audiolab pre-amp but again the actual differrence was very minor.
Tested with other (cheaper) components (Arcam and Micromega) the difference was far more noticeable with positive gains in the whole soundstage.

'ELECTRICITY NEVER SOUNDED SO GOOD'
Strengths:
This sort of defies belief, but believe it. When I plugged this gem into my CD I still heard the kit I have - but the clarity and definition were improved all round. The top end gained sparkle and the bottom end gained authority. It makes you want to play all your CDs again. I only wish my amp had a kettle connector!
Weaknesses:
None - but don't expect this to change the balance of your sound. For example, if you need more bass, look elsewhere.
Overall:
Not cheap for a lead but it makes a difference that's well worth the money.

'VERY IMPRESSIVE'
Strengths:
Improvement in picture quality is immediately apparent. Connected to both TV and DVD player - my poor sky picture has improved 20-30%.
Weaknesses:
None found
Overall:
Worthy £50 investment.

'GREAT!!'
Strengths:
For years I have always relied on the power cord that came with the kit and having recently read some reviews I thought I would indulge myself. It was worth it - the bass particularly has been cleaned up but generally I am listening now to much more information than I was before. I have floor standing AE Aegis Evo3 spkrs and I would say to anyone now, don't rely on just your spkrs for your quality sound, get this cable and also some decent RCA (phono)connects - it's a whole new listening experience. Bye a spider NOW!
Weaknesses:
Not to be used on kettles!!!!
Overall:
Contact the very helpful team at www.hificables.co.uk - you won't be disappointed.

'THE CABLE PETER PARKER WOULD CHOOSE!'
Strengths:
Very nice build. It is good that the cable comes in figure of eight connection as well as kettle. I had a definate improvement in my DVD player's picture as a result of upgrading to Tarantula.
Weaknesses:
I also purchased a kettle connector cable for my Cyrus CD player but plugged it in to a cheap mains block, which probably defeats the point.
Overall:
Very nice cable. Well made with subtle but worthwhile performance improvements.
