'GREAT DISPLAY WITH HIGH DEFINITION SOURCES'
Strengths:
Digital video over hdmi.
Does a very good job even with poor quality TV signals.
Media box supplied has good connectivity and is easy to use and is included in the price. £3799.00 july04
Weaknesses:
Not the easyist of sets to get the picture quality (PQ) just right so some time taken here will help the end result.
No intergrated digital tuner.
No PC card supplied for viewing JPeg images (purchased seperatly)
Overall:
This is a high definition XGA 1024 x 768
Pal TV broadcasts are not going to look great but match it with a HD source and you won't look back

Only 1 source of HD material (Euro1080i)

'GOOD PERFORMANCE WITH STYLE'
Strengths:
Through a HDMI compatible DVD player, the picture looked just short of superb, I can't comment too much on the technical side of this picture as my knowledge is limited, however to my eyes it's as good as I've seen on other rival models. SKY+ is also fairly represented, at first I found the picture was pixelated and artifacts were common, this was more noticeable when football was on, however after a few days the picture improved remarkably, only the sports (mainly football) let the screen down. I found a mains filter, cleaned the picture up that little bit more. The screen comes with a nice multimedia box that has more connections than you can shake a stick at, the PC input is a big plus for me as I can connect a laptop over a wireless network and surf the internet which is unreal! All in all a very impressive screen with the looks to back it up, unfortunately, by the time SKY or other networks make HDTV more accessible then this screen will have been overtaken by other models / brands at a more affordable price.
Weaknesses:
No real accessible HDTV signals to push this screen. The price is a good £500 more than some rival flagship 42" screens.
Overall:
For the here and now this screen is about as good as it gets, the functionality of the package is superb, whether it's worth paying the extra is down to the individual.
