'GREAT LITTLE RADIO, REAL WOOD CASE TOO.'
Strengths:
Great sound from a small compact unit.
Weaknesses:
Not able to power it by battery making it less portable.
Overall:
I recently received this radio as a prize from a survey i participated in. As i received it free im not sure about the price but belive it to be worth around the £90 mark if purchased through amazon, but you may be able to obtain it cheaper if you shop around.
The model i have is the cherry wood finish. It is a small compact unit with a good weight to it due to the wood case. Its dimensions are 21cm wide, 15cm tall excluding the handle and 11cm deep incuding the tuning buttons. With the aerial fully extended it is 80cm from the bottom of the base to the top of the aerial. I live near London and find the reception is great 90+% on most stations with the aerial fully extended. Planet Rock is about 90% with the aerial folded away. I always leave the aerial fully extended.

It is this case which helps to give it a good bassy sound. Hearing is believing. I listen mostly to planet rock and the sound is great for rock. It may only be mono but this can be made stereo by attaching a secondary speaker which Pure have available but at about £36 including postage but it can be attached to a home stereo via the auxillary output on the radio.
The firmware is upgradable via the internet and a usb cable.

I thoroughly recommend this radio.
