'NIC LOOKING, EASY TO USE, PROBLEMS WITH OVERHEATING!'
Strengths:
Bought because I love DAB and like to listen in bed, and generally trust Roberts quality.A very easy to use, attractive clock radio, with some nice features...sleep timer, effective alarm and good dab reception.But............
Weaknesses:
I have had this unit just over 1 week. It worked fine for a couple of days and then started to get warm and just quit working.
Left to cool down, it worked fine again, for 2 days...then cut out again. I dont know if this is just a problem with my unit, or if it is a design flaw of the gemini 9...I now have to contact dealer/Roberts. Having paid over £110 for a clock radio, you dont expect this problem!
Overall:
Nice idea, but in this case there is a problem.
I am pleased with the clock radio in that it does the job, and I love dab radio. But with
having to sort out this fault, I cant say I would recommend it until I find out whether or not this is just the one I bought, or if others experience this problem. So, be warned...there might be a design fault with this clock radio.
